LJ - 10/May
2) As part of the P2 Service Learning, the P2 pupils would be designing stamps based on the theme, "Clean and Green Singapore". They would also be required to write a short message to create awareness of a Clean and Green Singapore. During the Learning Journey to the Philatelic Museum, the vendors would be teaching the pupils how to design stamps. They are to use crayons to design the stamps. The messages are to be written clearly and pupils are to write their names and classes at the back of the stamps.
Please remind your pupils to listen and observe carefully whilst the vendors are explaining, so as to get some ideas on how to design the stamps. I would be providing cut-outs of stamps to all P2 classes. The pupils may bring them home to complete. The best 5 pieces from each class are to be submitted to me. Out of these, selected ones will be scanned and put up on the school website. Please do vet the messages written by the pupils before submission to me. The deadlines for submission for each class is as follows.
2A & 2D- 15th May
Thanks/regards

Talking Point
Dear all,
We are having this assembly program "Talking Point" which 3 students will be selected to go up to the stage to talk about certain issues.
1A is involved in this topic:
"We are proud to be a Singaporean / a Singapore Permanent Resident / living in Singapore."
As the name suggests, it aims to provide a platform for 3 pupils in each class to present their views/opinions on a given NE message / theme. This programme also aims to instil in pupils the love for Singapore and rootedness in our country through this platform.
If your child is willing to participate, please write a short story (approximately 5 sentences) on the topic given. Pass it back to me or to the social studies teacher Mrs Lam next Tuesday. Our class is scheduled to present sometime in mid-May.
Thanks/regards,
Mdm Chan
