Unit 11 and Unit 12 Learning Objectives -- Stellar

Here's the guide for the next 2 units. 
Please remember to refer to this guide especially when you are doing the revision for English. 

The unit review will be coming after we have completed the Best Pet next week. 


Unit 11: Is the Wise Owl Wise

Vocabulary: summer, winter, autumn, spring, squirrels, badgers, foxes, stones, forest
Grammar:
Nouns: (Singular/plural) end with –s and -es
Connectors: and
Verbs: (non-action verbs) look, think, wait, begin
(irregular past), dreamt, hid, began, slept, found, kept, told, dried, shut
Adjectives: (after the verb)  He is clever.
Phrases of time sequence: in the day, at night, one summer, in the autumn

Unit 12: What Will the Weather be like today?
Vocabulary: cloudy, frost, rain, rainbow, snow, storm, sun, weather, windy, thermometer, wind/rain gauge, cockatoo, mole
Compound words: somewhere, whatever, outside
Grammar:
Pronouns: you, it, I, me, us, we
Connectors: when, or, and
Verbs: (non-action): become, begin, be, will, is, like, know
Special verb: dress up
Adjectives (from nouns): cloudy, windy, steamy, sunny, rainy, snowy, frosty, stormy, warm, dry, hot, wet, cold, cool
Nouns (uncountable): weather, rain
(irregular): skies, fish
(Regular): frog, lizard, cockatoo, mole, bee, duck
Phrases of time sequence:
Contraction: doesn’t, it’s what’s, there’s
Structure: (noun/pronoun): What / How will
(verb… noun/pronoun): say/says the bee
Punctuation: question mark and speech marks
